Hi fellow pre-dents and current dental students,

Any tips/insight on what is usually communicated in the acceptance phone calls on Dec 1 from the person who calls, and advice on things we are expected to say/should say?

Are we expected to accept the offer or give any sort of such indication over the phone? Do we just say thank you or have a longer conversation? I really have no idea how any of this works. I will be in school most likely when I get calls so kinda worried. Any sharing of personal experience/knowledge would be much appreciated.

Say thank you very much for the offer. Act like a normal functioning human being that you have convinced them that you are.

But for real just relax, you're in if they call.

No, you are not. You got 30 days to place a deposit, take your time before making that decision

Make sure you ask them what happened to the NYU servers, and when they sent their emails.

Probably not representative of all schools in general, but at my state school our student admissions guy said he had heard people scream, cry, or call him beautiful the morning of December 1st.

We're also pretty laid back so take that with a grain of salt 🙂
