Hello, I live in Richmond, Va (where VCU is located)
For VCU, if you are city person...and use to city environment (like city driving skills, know NEVER go outside at night alone, use to distant gun shot sounds, ect), it may be good for you.
but if you like safe, not so much drama place...then no. VCU MCV is located at the heart of RIchmond downtown. Great bars, historical buildings, nice big buildings, but..and crimes..and homeless people as well. but it is not all that bad. Just out of downtown,t here are tons of nice safe places.
VCU has great clinical program and a lot of VCU graduate dentists work in Northern VA, DC. and MD and making lot of money. so, connection is one thing that you can look at.
and nice gym..and library (2 library you can use...one undergrad and one grad school. undergrad is 24 hours..soon grad school lib will be as well)
