Some schools allow it/will consider a request, but I can't imagine any school NOT wanting a good excuse....why would you want to defer if you don't have a good reason? Can you defer for a year if you get accepted into Medical School? or do you need to have a good excuse?
Wait to take the MCAT. Med schools want you to apply for the year you plan to matriculate. They won't look kindly on you applying for 2015 entering class with no intention to matriculate then and no ability to complete your program by then. Why are you in a hurry to take the MCAT?I heard the MCAT is valid for 2-3 year. If I take it this year it will become invalid in 2015 but I wouldn't finish my program till 2016. So I would apply 2014-2015 in order to make sure I wouldn't have to take the MCAT again then. A year before I finish.

The main reason is I have just taken all the course relating to the subjects on the MCAT. So waiting might be detrimental in terms of studying for 3 to 4 years. I thought it would be better to take it now and set it aside so i don't have to worry it about it in the future?
You're starting pharmacy school next year then you're planning to apply to med school after that? Sounds like you don't know what you want to do with your career. Don't start pharmacy school. Take a year off and figure out what you REALLY want to do.Undergrad? I wouldn't finish my graduate program by then which I'm starting next year.
This. If you want to be a doctor, concentrate on getting into med school. If you want to be a pharmacist, attend your pharmacy program. If you don't know yet, wait to start anything until you figure it out. You're starting pharmacy school next year then you're planning to apply to med school after that? You won't be able to defer under your circumstances.
I'm not confused. I generally want to do both. I know it's impossible to do practice both at the same time but I want the possible to switch between them

Good luck getting admitted to medical school under these circumstances. Schools will not consider your plan to be a rational one.
Well I pretty much figured this was how this was going to go. I truly truly don't mean to offend or be rude but I never really asked for opinions on whether it was a good idea or not. I just wanted to know if I could defer or not and I got my answer. Thanks.
