Hi all,

So I just found out I was accepted to Tennessee State University off of the waitlist, which I am super excited about as it is my first-choice school! However, I am thinking about asking if it would be possible to defer a year due to financial and other personal circumstances. Does anyone know if this is possible or have had any experience with it? (not only at Tennessee State but in occupational therapy programs in general). I don't want the school to think I am unwilling to go this year since I have still not decided so I want to tread carefully if I do decide to ask. Thanks!

I was accepted to SJSU this year and I tried to defer admission. I was told by the university that each department has their own policy on deferment. Turns out the OT department does not allow any deferment but I was welcomed to reapply. Their reapplication process seems pretty straightforward so that is what I'll do.
