Does anyone know if deferrals are accepted for MS-OT programs or what the request process might look like?

I haven't had experience with this personally, but I have seen online to programs that I applied for that they are not traditionally accepted and you'd have to reapply. It might be something that each school decides on an individual basis though so I'd call and speak to someone to plead your case.

I believe some schools let you defer under extreme circumstances. Someone I know got into a PT program and a week later found out she was pregnant. She was allowed to defer for a year so she could have her baby and then start school. You just need to contact the program and see what they allow. You will never know unless you ask!
