i was going to call but i wanted to know if anyone knew if one could defer an acceptance to ucsd medical school for a year?

family stuff has occured and i wanted to see if i could defer it for a year?

UCSD does allow deferments, but not everyone may be deferred. A friend of mine was denied a deferment, when his deferment request said that he wanted to "travel and explore the world" before he was locked down for 8+ years in the medical world. I'm not a UCSD administrator, but I just dont see how they can turn you down with a good family reason. 👍

yes, i've heard of people getting a deferment for a year at UCSD. i'm not sure what reason they had though, but it seems like yours is a valid one. good luck and i hope you and your fam are doing okay...
