Hello. My question here is simple. I have searched through state legislature (New Mexico and Louisiana) for the answer to this question, as well as these forums, with no luck. I was just wondering if the requirements to gain RxP in these states is reserved for those with clinical psychology degrees, or does it include ANY licensed psychologist? (Counseling psych, for example). BTW, I do realize that they must also have a post-doc master's in psychpharm.

Don't you think the best route to get information about things like this would be to call the individual state psychological associations rather than rely on a message board??? You should ALWAYS call the state psychological association to get definitive information on things like this.

i believe they must be clinical psych

No - you have to be in an applied field of psychology (e.g., clinical, counseling, school)
