What do you think changed about your app on the third cycle?

Hey everybody, just wanted to give hope to those reapplicants with blemishes on their records. I'm now a US Medical student (DO) who had a poor UG GPA (2.9), poor SMP GPA (2.8), legal record with IAs (all from undergrad), ORM. My MCAT is high in the 514-518 range. Nothing else noteworthy on my record (no research, publications).

I was given no interviews on my first 2 applications. On my 3rd reapp, I received 4 interviews and 1 acceptance. Feel free to ask me anything. Mods you may move this post to whatever sub-forum you see fit. This forum has helped me tremendously and I would like to give back.

As a multiple-time reapplicant, did you have to write to schools to consider you for a third time?
