Hi!

Several questions here! 🙂

1) Does it look bad if I don't have any Awards/Honors/Scholarships?

2) Aside from shadowing, what other kind of dentistry experience is really out there?

3) I have a few dental-related clubs and few volunteer-related clubs, but I'm not an officer or anything. Is this okay?

4) I don't have any work experience, would this be looked down upon?

(1) Depends. Won't strengthen your application not having anything - you can include things from high school here too
(2) Some places have programs such as Sealants for Smiles, or Smiles for Kids where you can help hygentists place sealants on children's teeth. Also homeless dental clinics, or foreign dental trips to third world countries ($$$). Your dental club should also provide service opportunities in the dental field.
(3) Sure. Not everyone can be the president. Just show that you are involved and dedicated.
(4) Depends on the people reviewing your application.
