Hey guys, when we purchase dental instruments during dental school, are we just renting them and have to return them, or do we get to keep them after graduation? Thanks!

I am very curious on this topic as well. Western's website says " Instrument Lease fee" $4386.00 Instrument Lease Fee
$4,386.00

So im assuming its a Lease and i dont get to keep it when i am done. Is that correct?

And isnt 4386.00 a lot just to went them for a year?

dental equipment is expensive.

lol it kind of sucks that you have to pay so much just to lease when a couple thousand more you can own the equipment.

but you'll probably have no use for the equipment once you start working as an associate right out of school

Very true, good call.

Thanks guys! Yep, the fees at my school show around $10,000 for instruments, but there's also an instrument rental fee of over $2,000.
