I don't know of any books per se, but my co-residents and I have been tinkering with different settings on our canon digital rebels and have gotten pretty decent results. It depends on what you're trying to get a picture of though. There are some pretty good photography websites that can help you out too

What have you and your friends come up with as far as settings on the digital rebel. I just got one after having a rebel 2000 for quite some time. Are you using a ring flash or macro lens? or the standard 18-55 lens?
