Dental Schools verify Reference Letters?

Hey there,

I was just wondering if dental schools follow up on reference letters submitted to them by contacting the original Professor who wrote the letter. Reason why I'm asking is that one of my Professors is out of the country for 8 months where the only contact available is through email.

Just wondering if anyone can help me out, thanks.

Could you imagine the work load that would in tail? I doubt the ever check unless something sounds suspicious.

I think you will be ok, and I am sure if they did want to check on it they would do it by email
