has anyone successfully requested an extension on the jan 15th deposit deadline?

I tried for a one week extension from $Boston$ a couple of days ago..........unfortunately I was denied

-they said no exceptions

nah its not because of indecisiveness. i have an acceptance....but i interviewed at another school on jan 7th, and my chances at getting in are high. however, i think ill find out 7-10 days from the interview.

If you really want to just put down a deposit, and if you get the second acceptance, let the first school know you'll be turning down your seat. Lots of people do that, but be sure to let the first school know if you're going to give up your spot right away, that way they can give someone else the good news. A few hundred bucks down the drain by far worth not having to risk not getting in this cycle.

The last thing you want to do is to not put down a deposit and then not get anywhere else. Hedge your bets. In the long run, the deposit is a smart investment.

You've already invested a lot of time & money into this cycle. Just put down the deposit and consider it part of the expense of applying. Can you really afford to take the chance of not getting any other acceptances?

if you take Maryland off your list of schools that you applied/ interviewed/ were accepted to on Predents, then add it again, it will uncheck.
