Can somebody please please please explain to me the difference between the two? They are both included in the ICD-10 categories (F32 (depressive episode) and F33 (repeating depressive disorder)), but not defined. I need to understand it for my thesis and it's quite urgent.

We rarely use ICD in the USA, but the difference between these two is length/duration of symtomatology. One is short duration/brief episode, and the other is longer duration, more like major depressive disorder.
