Can a pathology trained dermatopathologist do a fellowship in Mohs surgery or other training in Mohs?
Or is it more applicable to Derm trained dermatopathologists?
Thanks,
Joe

In theory -- yes. In reality -- no. Originally Fred Mohs would train anyone interested in learning. Now you pretty much have to be a trained dermatologist to even be considered for a fellowship (although I would bet that a plastics trained person could find a spot somewhere, but WHY?)

If you want to do micrographic surgery, you better do derm.

Thanks guys for the comments. Looks like a nonaccredited fellowship in strictly Mohs might be an option for a non derm-dermpath.

answer: no

long answer: if you were doing Dermpath, why would you want to do Mohs?
