I have 11 days for part 1 and put in very minimal study hrs due to sickness.
All I need is to get through it (pass it)..........not aiming for any residency...only license to practice at some point.
Are decks, old exams, and exam master good or should i just postpone??

if you are in second year right now, I believe decks and old exams should be more than enough to pass. Try to get 75-80 % on old exams and you will have it.

I hate to sound callous, but how long have you been sick? You should have been studying for the NBDE for the past several weeks.

And I hate to explain this to a callous resident/DDS/mod (who should know better) that 'sickness' can mean many things in the field of medicine..................or were you not taught that during dental school or residency?

All I was doing was seeking an opinion from people on this forum to see if it was worth the effort or not.

Worth a try. Go for it with a sleep, eat and study only schedule. These 3 could work for passing.

Forget the negativity, work really hard ...........then let him know you passed.

You might be surprised how much I've been taught about sickness.

The reason I asked is that if you've been as significantly ill as that, you might be better off rescheduling your exam so you have more time for effectively studying. Good luck, whatever you decide.

I have to agree with Bill there. No reason to get defensive, Jan70. That being said, getting people's opinion on SDN about how much you need to study is silly. You know how much you remember from your classes. If you go through the decks and all the material seems like easy review, then maybe you can take the test. If not, then postpone. Either way, if you are only looking to pass and you can deal with swallowing another few hundred bucks to take it again (if needed), then go ahead and try.

hi
whoever you are it is good that you are fine now
but would you like to get treated by someone who just got to practice
naah right?
just give yourself some time
be prepared and confident
dont do anything in confusion
i knw it is easy to say
prepare smart and not hard as there is not much time
postpone for a shorter time
or use the available time smartly
and all the best
be the best doc and not just a licensed doc
cant lie to yourself

matter of time everything will be fine
