Anyone have any ICU experiences in Detroit? I'd like to know:

1. Heavy in procedures?
2. Good/bad teaching?
3. Overall experience (including housing, hours, whatever)

Thanks!

Which hospital?

I was looking at St. John MICU, Detroit Receiveing VA SICU, and Henry Ford Pulm&Crit.Care MICU. However, I am open to any suggestions of better places or experiences others have had. I just based these choices on elective descriptions on the web.

I've heard that Henry Ford MICU is great. I've also heard wonderful things about Sinai-Grace MICU and SICU, and Detroit Receiving MICU. I don't know the specifics about call, conferences, etc, since I had my ICU elective in the second half of 4th year (MICU at Sinai-Grace), but ended up switching out due to senioritits.
