Hi, what I am asking is really simple probably, but I don't understand :(

How does left sided diastolic dysfunction lead to left ventricular dilatation?
Could you run through the pathophysiology leading to LV dilatation?

Thank you!

Diastolic dysfunction does not regularly cause LV dilation. The vast majority of cases of diastolic dysfunction cause a relatively small ventricle.

Systolic dysfunction however does cause ventricular dilation.
