How cool is it/was it to go into a place and find others who were just as into psychology and learning as you? That is what really stuck out when I started. I remember being at a social event and making a stats joke....and people laughed, that's when I knew I was with the right people!

No doubt! For the first time, I am not the only one who actually reads before class, who loves the textbooks that are assigned, and who is working like a devil but LOVING it. It is an amazing experience to be going through classes with a group of people who are just as big (or bigger) psych nerds as me! 😛

My friends joked that I finally could talk to people who want to talk about psych research as much as I do....they were like, "Uhm...yeah T4C, that's interesting.....58%, ya don't say. <.05....Okay, whatever works for you". For instance, My best friend called me a few days ago and was like, "T4C, what are you doing?" I was digging through some old research about steroids and body dysmorphia, so I told her about some of the findings, and I'm pretty sure she just zoned out, because when I asked her about her day....she was stumped.

My family and friends get that *glazed* look when I start talking about any of my most recent lectures or favorite articles. My hubby is thrilled that I have others to share that part of myself with now!! 🙄
