Did I screw myself out of the app cycle/

So I was planning on submitting my application and clicked submit. I thought in order to get the GPA and grades verified you just had to upload all your classes and send transcripts, not submit my application too. I just submitted it a few days ago and takes 3-4 weeks? How late am I applying/

I think they calculate GPAs a lot quicker now. It took me 2 weeks when I submitted in early July, but people who submitted weeks after me got their GPAs calculated within the week they submitted. If your GPAs are verified by next Thurs, then it will be sent out on next Friday. Good luck!

That's silly. How did you miss all the threads early in the cycle with people wondering this same thing?

Anyway, your scores weren't even in until early-August, yes? I'm guessing they'll process GPAs way faster now. But yes, it'll be complete 4-5 weeks later than it would have had you submitted earlier. It's not the worst thing, but there's not a lot you can do about it now. The lower GPA coupled with timing might be an issue. But your scores look competitive and there's still a lot of time left in the cycle. Hopefully you applied to a lot of schools and you're ready to wait it out. Be sure to pounce on the secondaries!

I haven't been on the forum for a while, my uncle passed away recently, had family from kansas over so things have been hectic. I was under the assumption that the gpas and everything are verified once you submit your transcript, I didnt know that I had to actually hit the submit button to get them calculated.
I also thought I had to wait until my committee letter was in before I can submit, delayed me another couple weeks ;\
I submitted my application, I sent all my application fee's to the schools who require it "As soona s you submit your application" but not to any who have the "wait until we contact you"
How long does it take before they contact me?

It depends, after your GPA gets verified and your app is mailed, most of them will contact you within a week or two.
