Probably been asked a million times before, but...
Just wondering -- for all of you who took the MCAT already, did you take a prep course? If so, what one and what was your MCAT score? Also, what did you think of the course?

Thanks! 😀

took princeton review, got a 35R.
i was very happy with the organization, quality of teaching, + materials overall. i highly recommend the princeton review, and i think taking a prep class was worth it.

I didn't take a prep course and I am extremely happy with my results on the MCAT. If you are self motivated, then there is no need to waste time (or money) on a prep course.

I didn't take a course but I got the 2002 PR books from someone as well as taking some Kaplan practice tests. My advice: don't waste your $ on "teachers" who are just pre-meds a year down the road from you who did well on at least 1 section of the MCAT. I got a 34R (p11 b11 v12) now I could teach at least 2 of the sections! Unless you are lost or behind and are willing to shell out for a student teacher, try to borrow or buy some books for free or for cheap.

I don't mean to offend you prep course teachers, I know it's good money!

i'm guessing you're a bruin- strictly on that fact you rock!
as for prep, save your money- come to free mcat prep at UCLA starting winter quarter. i got a 43s without prep, so i'm at least anecdotal evidence that such courses arent necessary
