Didn't see II until months later...

So apparently I got an II in August and I just didn't see it. I know really dumb with me but I check my email every day I guess it somehow slipped by email. I saw it this week and have signed up for next month to have my II. Will it hurt my chances and should I email admissions about why it took me so long to sign up for an II? I have no A or WL rn so I'm pretty stressed

Part 2. I just realized I didn't see the email because I was traveling and pretty much no wifi. FML

It may or may not hurt admissions (depends on how rolling it is and school policies). An explainer is def warranted

You signed up to have an interview. In all likelihood, the people doing the interviews and making the admission decisions will not know when that invitation was issued or in any way factor your late interview date into the decision to admit you. I'd stay quiet regarding your failure to respond promptly. The fact that you were able to schedule months later indicates to me that the invitation did not have an expiration date. Carry on.
