I did Bachelors in Pharmacy in India which is a 4 year program. Now I would like to takeup a course other than PharmD that help me build my career. What courses are available for a student like me from Pharmacy discipline?

Your reply will be of great help.

I think you are better off deciding where in the US you want to live, and then contacting various schools and asking them what is required.

I'm not sure how international degrees transfer but I've worked with plenty of pharmacists that were licensed overseas and had no problem coming and working here.

Good luck!

I think the transfer used to work very well earlier but recently they have been asking for a 5 year foreign degree to transfer an international license. Most foreign graduates are from a 4 year program and hence the transfer has become an issue.

Will you please tell me what is the procedure for that like which all tests I have to take and for how long I am required to study in US. Please tell me about the approximate cost too..... If you can it will be a great help!!

i am also over here doing my masters in chemistry in california but i want to settle down as a pharmacist basically i have 4yr degree from india , can any one help me out what courses/internships i am supposed to do ?? and what are the exams i am supposed to write and when are they ????

can any one help me out pls...

After Indian Pharmacist degree, there are couple options in the US to do:
1. If you want to do Masters and work with some industry, many universities are offering MS.
2. PhD - but it will take couple years.
3. PharmD - If you want to work as a community or clinical pharmacist. For international students like us, there is a university in California - Western University of Health Sciences. It acknowledges our Indian degree and offers PharmD program for 3 years. You dont need to have PCAT for that.
Hope that helps.
