differentiating Schatzki ring from Peptic stricture

Hi, I am a 4th year medical student taking step 2 this tuesday.

I dont understand why Schatzki ring presents with intermittent sxs of dysphagia, but a peptic stricture presents with a progressive dysphagia.

Could someone explain please.
