Formulations with diltiazem is really confusing to me and I was hoping someone could clarify there is the IR, 12hr formulation, 24 forumlation, beads, CD, LX, Tazatia.... Also, what do you think when there was a script written for diltizem er 12 hr capsules taken tid, is that something that is pretty common? Why can't they just do regular diltizem if they wanted to take it tid.

Look back and see what the patient was taking before in their profile and if it's different then I would contact prescriber. Also interaction with simvastatin gets flagged

If your state doesn't stipulate AB substitution consider it a resource for clarification of generics for Cardizem CD vs Dilacor XR. Also note marketing status as many are discontinued.
