I hope someone else out there has had this same issue. I am a diploma grad RN, now with a BSN. When completing the application, how do I list the diploma program? It's not a university program, but the nursing credits did transfer to university for the BSN. Any suggestions?

I think from what you're saying, you have both an AA and a BSN in nursing. On the AMCAS application they let you list each school you attended, the degree attained, and the courses you took there. You fill out the schools/degree attained on one page and the courses for each school on the next. Don't worry about listing the courses that transfered as part as your university courses. All they need is a list of schools you attended, degree obtained and courses listed for each school.

It's similar when you are a transfer student from a cc like I am. Even though my cc coursework transfered towards my BS at my university, I listed my cc courses for my cc seperately from my courses from the university.

It is a little different. With a diploma program you attend for 28 months and receive a diploma which allows you to take the Registered Nurse state boards. No degree awarded. It's not even a college, but a hospital based program with required college classes taken from a cc. It's considered the lowest of the 3 nursing entry methods. (diploma, associate's, bachelor's) It's more like a technical school program, except the nursing credits are transferable toward a degree in nursing. It's a little hard to determine where and how it should be listed.
