Hi everyone,
I was labeled as E01 disadvantaged by AMCAS, but I didn't label myself as disadvantaged. My parents never completed high school in their respective countries, don't speak any English, and work menial jobs, but that's how most kids in my town grew up was so I never thought I was really "disadvantaged". Now, I'm realizing that maybe I should have spoken to the challenges I grew up (which seem like less of challenges to me, but rather just doing the best with what I had) in the disadvantaged section since I was designated as E01.
Did I make a mistake by not doing so? Should I try to address my challenges in secondaries now?
