I am in a slightly strange situation. I've been thinking about moving my MCAT back and one of the possible dates I was considering was 17 June. When I checked the web site, very few states (and none remotely near me) were listed as offering it. Then, I checked again on Saturday and found the list was longer, including a test site in Presque Isle, ME. After confirming that this was logistically possible (it's about four hours from my house), I went back today to register. The Maine site is no longer listed. Could this be a computer glitch?

I guess to be on the safe side, I should register for 8 July and then just keep checking to see if I can move it forward...

June 17th probably won't show up again until 2 weeks before the exam date, which would be June 3rd or so in this case. While all the spots for the June 17th date are taken now, this will more than likely not be the case in a couple of weeks. This is because many students end up getting cold feet and shifting their exam to a later date. You can change your exam date up till 2 weeks before the exam, so that's why the June 3rd deadline. I would suggest signing up for any date, and then checking back in a couple of weeks to see if you can get the June 17th date. However, this will cost you an additional $55.

I was under the impression that they generally still list the test site when it is filled, but indicate that there are no seats (or that is what I have seen for other days)? The Maine testing site is not listed at all, filled or otherwise. Nonetheless, I"ll register for 8 July and see if anything happens in June.

I noticed that as well. Last year it said "no seats available" and showed all testing centers, however, I think that's changed now because the same thing happened to me.

Knight is also right regarding June 17th, most likely someone will drop out (at least 1 person)...but you just need to be there to pick it up, FAST!
