I am currently enrolled in the Princeton Review, and just finished my second AAMC practice test. I got 497 the first time and 498 the second time, and my goal is 508. I test in a little under two months and I am freaking out. Should I cancel my test, or do I have the time to improve my score 10 points. My tests were two months apart from each other.
Test 1 -
CHEM/PHYS: 124
CARS: 124
BIO: 126
PSYCH/SOC: 123

Test 2 -
CHEM/PHYS: 124
CARS: 124
BIO: 126
PSYCH/SOC: 124

Stop freaking out now. You are TWO Months away and you are comparing a TPR FL exam to your actual exam score.

Improve your PS this week by watching the entire PS playlist from Khan academy and then move on to doing a AAMC FL #1 to get an accurate representation of your score and report back.

Also make sure to review your errors in the FLs you took and document them if possible.
Those scores are from the AAMC FL #1 and #2.. That's why I'm so worried :/

I hope to offer you words of wisdom from my personal experience:

I rescheduled my Jan 20th to May 19th ~ it was a horrible decision. I used Kaplan as my plumb line and couldn't break out of the 400's on their FL's only to toss my books aside, take a Next Step diagnostic weeks later and scored 10 points higher. I was already defeated so I half-answered every question on Next Step because I already gave up. I dropped O-chem 2 from my Spring term as well and I made an A in O-chem 1. Mistake #2.

No, do not reschedule your exam that is 2 months (or however long). Keep doing practice q's (as I am) and together, we will be fine.

1. Breathe
2. CONTENT review - your scores indicate content is not strong; how to improve?
  • Make a detailed list of every physics equation PLUS the units
  • Make a detailed list of every GEN CHEM equation PLUS the units
  • Make sure you can 'see' the differences in the amino acids (I do this by drawing them, again and again and again)
  • Make sure you can do the ochem - redraw mechanisms daily if need be to understand how an ester is ... or an ether ... or ketone --> aldehyde
  • Make sure you read, review, and review again the psy/soc 100 page document (I got a 130 on the psy/soc just by doing this; last year); in addition, make sure you can delineate between Piaget/Erickson/Kohlberg stages and align that with Freud
3. Breathe - you have two months; CONTENT is your issue... once that is solid, your score will go up

(*I* state this all from personal experience... passages were NOT my issue, it was discretes which = content)

Absolutely agree with @Ad2b. A score <500 almost always indicates deficits in content. What did you do to study content, and more importantly, how are you guaranteeing to maintain it in your head over a long period of time?
