I have two topics I'm thinking of and wanted to hear some feedback.
1) D1 collegiate athlete, won multiple awards from conference (all region team etc), but I talked about this in my PS and my most meaningful activities so I'm not sure how redundant it is getting. I could definitely talk about other aspects that were not discussed in either my PS or meaningful activities section. This was a HUGE passion of mine so I can really go on forever about it, but I'm sort of unsure how I feel about it being so prominent in my application already. I feel like a lot of athletes apply to med school so it may not be too diverse?
2) I am part of a needle exchange program in my community that I actually became involved in because I looked down upon the organization and what they were doing and wanted to see what it was like before making a judgement. I thought before I was enabling the users not truly helping etc but I learned about the importance of harm reduction and I can pull a lot about being involved in the program and the things I have seen and tie that into medicine as well.
I would love to go with either, but I think I may be talking about being an athlete too much so I'm leaning toward the needle exchange program.
