I would like input/advice on courses for a DIY post-bac. These are the courses I need to redo:

Physics 1 & 2 (+ lab)
Ochem 1 & 2 (+ lab)
Gen Chem I
Gen Bio I
Biochemistry
Calc I
Stats

In each of the courses above I received a C. I know that MD/DO schools are going for an average on redo courses. Should I retakes these courses (~30 units) or should I look into taking over upper division science courses? If I do retake these courses they would be at a local university (4-year state school). Current GPA is a 2.66. sGPA is about the same.

I have been excepted to a MS Bio program (thesis based). If I go that route I'll begin in the fall. But that in itself is a different story entirely I suppose.

Thoughts please!

Did you take the MCAT yet? If not, I would only retake courses that you feel you need help with reviewing for the MCAT. Self reinvention is more your play now and taking upper division courses and acing them would be a better fit for you to do so.

If I were you, I'd probably take that MS program acceptance if it is a reputable program. Does it have any linkage or relationship with medical schools?
