DIY Postbacc by taking classes at a community college?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This particular person I'm talking to has already graduated undergrad and is looking into boosting his sGPA. He has been taking CC courses for this same reason. Is this a reasonable route to take, or should he be doing it at a 4 year college?

For the purpose of academic enhancement, I would strongly recommend against "downgrading" from a 4yr to a CC. It won't be the same as starting at a CC and moving to a university - I'm certain adcoms will see it as a lack of ability to perform well in coursework far less rigorous than that of med school, even if this is not truly the case for you.

If I may ask. I have a good under grad gpa 3.6. I did public health. I cannot afford do a post bacc program. Will the medical schools look down on me? I currently work in oncology research. I have been a cna for 4 years worked in multiple settings hospital, clinic, and nursing home. My fear is that even though i get As in a community college will still have a hard time getting accepted is that true?
