Talking about putting things in perspective....that was a real gut check for me.....a good reminder no matter how experience or knowledge I have, there will always be someone who is more knowledgable or experienced.

Have fun....I loved working with veterans actually. I used to sit and talk to a patient who was a medic on Omaha Beach on D-Day.

yeah.. im sure some will be cool but ill be damn busy. Im just hoping i can get some learning in..

The last time I saw him before I left when I got out the military, he stopped me and told me thank you for listening to him talk....apparently no one else ever wanted to hear about the war. That's kind of sad to know, but it was a distinct pleasure to be able to listen to someone like that.

Thats a good lesson for any ED doc.. cause for 99% of the people we see someone in the hospital knows more than we do.

there is a lot of bs in the VAs.. im just not looking forward to dealing with them!

yep too much breadth. pts are usually worked up by the time they are admitted so less thought is required since numerous processes are already ruled out.

Just one of those people who likes to know as much as I can about as many things as I can, because you never know when it will come in handy.

very true.. im just trying to keep afloat.

It's 4 here, but I'm on a cush rotation (read, not going in tomorrow), and my wife is taking in-house call tonight. Damn NICU.

Sorry to derail, but I just got a kick out of Scrubs. The cadaver in the morgue was breathing and blinking his eyes. It wasn't part of the scene, but I couldn't help but laugh.

this one gives me one more than hianmi!

I can't imagine how bad SDN would get if they had some sort of instant messaging.

Oh, and I love getting money for selling my wife's books on the internet.

i dont know why but all of a sudden.. me sleepy

Seriously last post.. i gave myself a little space over hianmi!

It's been hot lately. Not super hot, but hot enough to be uncomfortable sitting on the couch.
It's been cold here. Not like "It's so cold I haven't seen my balls since last Tuesday" cold but cold enough to make me want to move elsewhere.
