Okay, I guess that some bird out there some where has to be the exception that makes the rule. So your bird can be that exception.

All other birds are the Sons of Satan.

And that's just the way it is - 'cause birds are evil. And that's that.
Agreed.....well, I hate to cut this short but I just realized that I have to be up in 4 hrs for a meeting. I'll catch you later.......have a good one.

Interesting....I know if I sleep flat on my back I snore a little, but it doesn't happen in any other position.

Hubbie has also told me that I meep.

It's like my lungs want to live in a negative pressure room, and protest hourly (with the meeps) that I don't.

Alright.

I'm finally almost drunk enough to sleep.

Stupid me.

Not all independent candidates register for the NRMP match...so there has been incidents in the past where people have handed over the unfilled programs list to these people, making what is already a competitive environment with NRMP registered candidates even more competitive.

I can remember last year when non NRMP registered candidates where trying to get peeps on SDN to post it so they could have a crack at scrambling. It makes sense to me...we all paid to register...it wouldn't be fair to those outside the match to try to get spots as some of these places.

Aaahhh...thanks. That does make sense. I guess I agree with it.

The will i match worry is a serious one but if you had good interview offers, arent socially weird, had good LORS youll be fine. There are exceptions but this is true for the most part.

It is insane this thread will get shut down prior to match day.

Lectures don't actually matter. Letters of rec do. Unless you're getting an LOR by going to a lecture, I'd just sleep through it.

Just my 2 cents.

Unfortunately for me, these lectures matter. We have to buy and register this clicker to use in class. The teacher poses questions to us and he have to answer them by clicking in. It's pretty much the biggest waste of technology I've seen and it counts for part of our grade. 😡

Couple's Match.

The anxiety isn't algebraic, it is geometric. So it is squared.

Home early today, and figured out that i'm going to skip the next 2 days of clinic.

Wow. That's diabolicly lame.

I'm so glad my school didn't do that. I woulda gone postal.

Its amazing how easy it is to convince schools to waste money on dumb things and how hard it is to convince them to spend money on things that matter.

so I think we shut this thing down over the weekend!

lots of stuff to do. Having a dinner party for the misses co-workers

Ok, the "ERAS and Scramble" email just pushed me over the edge today.

It's on to vodka shots now...

"Dear ERAS Applicant,

This e-mail is to explain how ERAS will work during the Scramble period. Receiving this e-mail does NOT imply anything whatsoever about your NRMP Match status."

Thank you. 😀

I really think rural high schools have a better selection of drugs, and normally better quality (if you can call it that). I see more narcotics OD out there than I ever did when I was living in Maryland and running calls in the "ghetto".

I completely agree...I am from a small town...definitely saw it.

Well, I'm an idiot. I thought I was working tonight, but I'm not. The crappy part is that I'd slept, caffinated, and geared myself up to work. So now I can't sleep... despite copious amounts of alcohol.

You'd think that with enough booze I'd forget how to type or remember how to sleep... no such luck.

EF, I hate to break it to you, but I think DKM has joined the race.

DKM is one ahead of you.

haha....I'm padding dinner time. Gotta love the time differences.

gotta start on the pics again

Ok, thats enough for now...gotta run for a little bit

I take that back...this one puts me one up on EF.

Sleep apnea in the works?
Possibly, but I am probably the least typical sleep apnea patient you'll ever see if that is the case......5'9" or 5'10" (depending on the gas station I'm leaving) and 160 lbs is not the typical habitus of an OSA patient.

OK....I've officially found the most questionable article I've ever seen in a medical journal:
Smith P, Smith C, Boone T, Somogyi G Is abdominal wall contraction important for normal voiding in the female rat? BMC Urology, 2007 7:5

Good lord, who in the world (besides those authors) gives a flying frak?

DKM, you have definitely been posting it up lately...are you bored or a really good procrastinator?
