now it's 48... so exciting!

I think Dr. Rowane beat me up yesterday. Small, very fierce hands.

All he said I had to do to get the inlet prone was to put my fingers in Lucky's nose, pull her head back off of the table, and give a quick thrust so her head would snap off and bounce onto the floor, right?

I think Cremaster and I are gonna' start dating each other. Astroglide just shaved his head to look more like me...that's the attraction.

If me and cre don't work ou, we can just find one girl to date together. We can't both be absolute loser together, can we?

He is my favorite OMM guy, so far!!! I am still amazed at what he did to you and me 😉 😉 😉

What is the whining about? Just curious....I thought anatomy was fantastic but we had whiners too.

1) Not enough TA's
2) Practical Portion Review
3) Method of testing

There was a female who was nearly in tears as she said changes needed to be made, "now," because her performance on Monday wasn't as good as she'd expected.

Other than that, people wanted TA's to be better reviewed (like OMM), and more bodies to work on.

(Standard Drill)

i did shave my head, and now portier and i have started up a new "select club" on campus that is giving everyone the wrong idea. but the fact is i am still diverse and enjoy women of jewish heritage when her name is sabria and she is a 5'9'' bombshell and has friends the same.

my chances with her....0. 😱

Astro has signed up for my, "How to be a Player" course. So has Cremaster. Too bad all my pickup lines only work on Bulgarian Women:

"Go lay me tsi tsi" = large boosoms
"Got in no dupe" = nice bottom

Soon, you too will be able to score with women who should shave their upper lips, and don't; should bathe, but can't; wear enough perfume to be confused with bioterrorism, and shouldn't.

There's no crying in medical school. The only changes that need to be made are her study habits. I know. I almost failed until I started studying like I should have been the entire semester. Go Mewelde Moore.

Totally agree. Whatever happened to responsibility, self-motivation, and finding your own resources? There's always room for improvement within any school, but instead of blaming everybody else, learn how to play the game better. Or you can say, fzuck the rules, learn what you want to learn however you want to learn it, and don't place so much emphasis on grades.

REF: http://www.mrcranky.com/movies/huntforredoctober.html

Q: What's long, hard, and full of seamen?
A: This movie, which is so phallic that you can sit any two Longshoremen in front of it and within half an hour they'll begin trading backrubs and referring to each other as "snookums" and "chubby bear."

Take into account the vast numbers of long, hard, seamen-filled objects scurrying about in dark uncharted waters shooting at each other, factor in the absolute absence of women, and one quickly concludes that this John McTiernan film based on a Tom Clancy novel isn't as much a Cold War action-thriller as it is a touching, right-wing attempt to confront repressed homosexual longings. After all, this is a film made by the director of "Die Hard."

The evidence for this conclusion is overwhelming. A long, hard, seamen-filled object has disappeared from the Russian Navy and through a series of assumptions based on an almost intimate understanding of the ship's captain, Marko Ramius (Sean Connery), CIA operative Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin) concludes that Ramius intends to "go over to the other side." We all know what that means.

When Ryan finally boards Bart Mancuso's (Scott Glenn) long, hard sub, they track Ramius's long, hard sub, and much to Ryan's delight, nearly ram their nose into its ass. Consider for a minute some of the names: Ramius. Take out the "i" and you have "ram us." Ramius's best buddy and second-in-command is Capt. Borodin (Sam Neill), whose first name is Vasily. Finally, there's the man trying to hunt Ramius down, Capt. Tupolev (Stellan Skarsgard). Tupolev spelled backwards is Veloput. Veloput translated from a relatively unknown Azerbaijani dialect means roughly "suckle my farm rooster." Let's face it: If you really, really, really like this film, it's time to get together with the guys for a serious round of self-examination.

I just got accepted to DMU. Because I did my premed work as postbacc, I have nothing to do for the rest of the year. What would you guys recommend doing with this year? Should I brush up my anatomy and biochem? Learn Spainsh? Work at Taco Bell? What would you do if you were in my position?

Play and if you drink get drunk. Dont do anything stupid like try to study you wont rember squat. This is basically the last time you are going to have an abudance of free time on your hands for a while use it wisely.

Yes it would be lovely if 2nd year students could remember everything they were have supposed to "learn" from first year anatomy....you should tell her to make sure she signs up next year and see how great an anatomy ta she is if she is doing so well now. You know I do ****ty sometimes too, its because I quit trying or didn't want to do anything.........that would be my FAULT not the teachers because they didn't sit down and spoon feed me info.

Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to learn Spainsh during this year because I think you are right about not actually remembering anything scientific by next fall.

So have you guys seen any tornadoes in Iowa? Is the winter pretty severe? What did I hear about an underground pathway system around campus to avoid the cold?

cliff will be again welcomed to the prime number club

Well I'm glad some of you said basically what I was thinking sitting there last week......I thought the most amusing comment of that meeting was when someone complained about having two exams in one week (1st Anatomy and Behav. Med)......I couldn't believe actually stated that as a concern........Im sure Portier must've found that amusing too......I guess some people just take a little longer to just deal with it and realize you get out of it what you put in.....anyways......Boston was amusing this weekend.....it reassured how flat everything was out here.....but I got some nice ICED coffee.....from Dunkin' Donuts for the first time in like 3 months.....now that was good......

I've lived in central iowa my whole life.......I've chased plenty of tornado's the winter can defintely make you think you are at the north pole, and when the tunnels get done you will love the engineer who planned them, especially when you realize you can't park on campus because you came 17 minutes late to lecture!!!!

If you have time on your hands, I suggest you do whatever it is you like to do. If you want to travel, go to Europe. If you like to read, read a BUNCH. If you like to chase skirts, make an effort like a 18 y/o male virgin who's been drafted to Iraq.

The guys are right, you'll have no time to do anything for like the next 7 or 8 years. You'll be so freaking busy. When it slows down, you'll be an adult, and maybe have a kid or two.

If I had it to do over, I'd take out a loan from whoever (mom, dad, loan shark) and go to DC for a week, then San Diego for a week, then Reno for a week. Then I'd go backpacking across Europe for a few months.

Then I'd take my first shower (Nasty Frenchman, I know!)

portier that is exactly the reason why I don't believeyou will be meeting any of my other friends from undergrad

If you really have a lot of time on your hands, definitely go on a fun trip. If youre married, spend a lot of time with your wife now. But if you want to get prepared for med school, the biggest problems in first year are anatomy and physiology. They are your most important classes at seven credits, and are both hard. If you do well in these you can really jump the curve. If your local school offers these courses, you can take both without a whole lot of time. A cadaver lab would be really helpful. I was at a lab table with someone who had just had a cadaveric anatomy class and she studied half as much as me and got all A's. Doing nothing is also a good idea, thats what I did. But I am still the best Halo player I know, thanks to that six months of down time.

Hunt for red october is one of the best movies of all time period, easily making the #1 submarine movie. great post portier....b/c submarine movies don't get much attention.

in fact, i bet the next one will involve jarred from SUBWAY trying to promote the new "submarine" that has less than 10 grams of fat.

Does anyone know how many questions per cardio lecture on this last test.............you know like hopefully 2 for wattleworth's 18 pages of notes!!

I would be stuck in class while lucky and dmak and astro are eating krispy kreme's..................... 😡 👎

Actually, astro, being the fitness god that he is, turned down one of those rings of heaven. I, on the other hand, have downed 2 already. Mmmm....krispy kremes and Starbucks....doesn't get better than that.
