Do all schools email interview invites and acceptances?

I'm just wondering because a lot of schools have a status page online that you can check. I am wondering if I should be checking these a lot, or if I can just wait for emails.

Thanks!

Almost every single school will email you about interview invites etc. A few schools still like to do things by mail, for example the school I'm currently at only mailed acceptance letters, no email, but the interview invites were by email and mail. Some schools still like that physical personal touch

When accepted, I got a phone call saying something to the effect of "you should probably check your email.....there might be something you'll be happy to read."

Thanks for the answers, guys, and congrats at getting in somewhere last cycle. I'll be sitting here praying for that "check your email" phone call!!

Loyola Chicago calls for interview invites. If you don't pick up they send you an email telling you to call the admissions office.

I'm applying this season so I obviously haven't been accepted anywhere, but I know Loyola sends out interview invites via phone and Jefferson, UCI, and Drexel will update their status page saying you've gotten an interview invite long before you receive an email from them.

Is it the same for rejections?

Caller: Hi, Markyb! I hope you are having a great day. You might want to check your mail today.

Markyb: Oh my god, I'm so excited. Your medical school was my first...

*Opens letter and reads, "We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for admission."

Markb: *Gasp

Caller: Yes, we really do regret to inform you.

Rejections come in the form of email or snail mail. Some come really late in the cycle.

I'd say mostly e-mail, but a few still send out postal mail.

I bet that caller LOVES his job.
