This is my first post and my question is.... I was wondering if there are any books out there that are somewhat similiar to the MSAR for the Osteopathic Medical Schools. I purchased the MSAR and there was only one D.O school listed in the book. Just was hoping to get an overview of D.O schools in a hard copy.

Also, i'd be interested in some good reads about the D.O field in general.

Thanks in advance

AACOM's Osteopathic College Information Book is the MSAR equivalent. It's not nearly as comprehensive as the MSAR, but it's got some good info.

3 ways to get it:

(1) Download as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file:

http://www.aacom.org/data/cib/cib2005.pdf

(2) You can request a free printed copy (exact same thing) here at the bottom of the page:

http://www.aacom.org/data/cib/index.html

(3) The link in (2) is basically the index page for an online version of the Information book.

By the way, there was a DO school listed in the MSAR?!?!?!? I've got an old copy...anyway that comes as a shock to me for some reason.

Regarding DO books in general, there's some threads on that. Try searching the pre-osteopathic forum for Gevitz and I'm sure you'll find plenty of threads with DO book suggestions.

Phil :D

Edit: You don't have to apologize, it's no biggie! Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a jerk or something :) I just would have been really surprised!

I went back and attempted to confirm my presumptions and come to find out.... I was incorrect... I apologize I guess I was dillusional...

Thanks greatly for the link provided this is definately helpful to me.

If there are any other books out there anyone wants to post up please feel free.
