Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to apply for the next cycle and I am confused on what counts towards your science GPA. According to the ADEA course subject list for 2017 to 2018 certain psychology courses count, but according to the 2016 to 2017 ADEA course subject list psychology courses did not count. (Attached are the list if you want to double check/verify for me)

I was just wondering for those who applied this year did your psychology courses count towards your science GPA?

My psychology did not count because it did not have a BIOL or CHEM, etc. course number. It was PSYC for me, which is not considered science.

I don't believe your psychology courses will contribute to your BCP gpa. However, there's a possibility that a Psych stats course would fulfill a math requirement for a number of programs. I was a psych major and I believe a couple programs said they would accept my psych stats course for one of two math requirements. I don't recall which programs, and my memory isn't great. If you think this might be helpful to you I strongly suggest reaching out to your programs of interest.
