Hi! I was hoping that someone could give me some input on my chances for DO schools and also help me with my school choices.
cGPA: 3.3
sGPA: 3.2

My GPA is not great because I got a couple of Cs my freshman and sophomore year. My junior and senior year, I had all B+ to As in almost all upper level biology courses.

MCAT: 30 (11-10-9)
I am retaking at the end of June

I have over 1000 hours of ambulance corps experience.
I have volunteered at two different hospitals and worked on three different clinical research studies.

The schools I am thinking of applying to are:
ATSU-SOMA
AZCOM
CCOM
LECOM-B
NYIT-COM
NSU-COM
PCOM
Rowan
Touro-NY
Touro-CA
UNECOM
Western

I am thinking of applying to 8-10 schools. So, I need to narrow it down a bit. Thanks for your help!

Any physician shadowing? Any experience with osteopathic medicine? My understanding is that DO schools like, and sometimes outright require, their candidates to show interest in OMM and the mission of osteopathic medicine in general. Some require LORs from DOs.

I don't have experience with physician shadowing, but I have worked with many physicians and have a LOR from an MD. I tried shadowing a DO, but I couldn't find one that was willing to let me. I do have a genuine interest in osteopathic medicine. I find the holistic approach to patient care, more appealing than the allopathic approach.

It's more than "holistic approach to care." The big clincal difference between DO and MD is OMM, which is... well, it is what it is. Do some research on it.

Get some shadowing experience, particularly with a DO. Just start doing searches for physicians' offices near you and looking at their staff to find DO's, then call and ask if they're accepting shadowing students. Also look at local hospital sites for surgeons and whatnot. You have to just pick up the phone and start calling, or contact your school's premed advisor if it has one.

Why are you retaking a 30? I'm assuming you are shooting for MD.

What's your geographical area?

OMM is the difference in medical school curriculum, not real world practice. You use it to get through school, then depending on your specialty may not use again. What state are you from?

I think DO schools are more accepting of nontrads, of reinvention . More accommodating of students with disabilities. I loved my school.

It would be better if you retake classes rather than retake the MCAT. Your MCAT is fine.

I would add 2-3 more schools. DMU is a great school.

I am perfectly happy going to a DO school, but if I can get a 33 or above I am going to apply to a couple of MDs as well. I'm not sure with my GPA if I will be competitive at any MDs, but as long as I am going through the application process, I might as well try.

I am a FL resident.

You probably will need 35+ MCAT to offset these GPAs even being a FL resident...
