If I do my prerequisites at a community college, does that count less than a 4 year school for med school admissions?

If you take them while you were currently at a 4-year school then yes. It gives the impression that you were trying to avoid your school's weeding courses.
If you are a non Trad then it's okay
If you are going to a community college first and then to a 4-year school then it's okay.
But always double check with MSR to determine what individual schools actually want you to do or don't want you to do
