I'm looking for a DO derm program to possibly do residency and was needing some help which programs are good ones to rotate through.

hossofadoc,

As of now, there are NO D.O. derm programs. You have to apply to allopathic programs.

Since Krazykritter's profile indicates current attendance in a DO program at DMU, I'm guessing his response was more along the lines of sarcasm.

NSU-COM actually has 4 affiliated dermatology residencies, so doing a rotation at one should give you the opportunity to be known by the other PD's. The program with North Broward Hospital District (Broward General) has a very good 4th year rotation, and being that this is South Florida, you will see a lot of malignant melanoma and so on.

DO dermatology is a bit of a paradox.

I know that there is a DO derm program at pacific hospital in long beach, ca but i dont believe it is funded (ie...i dont think you get paid during ur residency there) and also i have heard that it is super competitive.

good luck to you
