It doesn't matter. Base your decision on something else.

i.e., cost, location, etc.

PCOM is better by far....UMDNJ just lost thier Derm instructor to pregnancy and they do not have a dermatology program in the first place( I should know....I am the dermatopathologist there). There is no formal dermatology instruction during your first two years. If you want a derm rotation you have to use your optional rotations and they have very few of those time slots available for you.
PCOM has generally had a good derm presence, and even with the Derm residency program relocating to Allentown, the school continues to have quality instructors and instruction in dermatology in the first two years. The also have more optional rotation time available for the derm rotations.

Thanks to everyone for their responses! I am really finding this information useful and taking it to heart. Thanks again. (This is precisely why I love this webpage!!)

My wifes dermatologist went to PCOM and completed her residency there as well. Like that means anything though. She could have just as well as went to UMDNJ b/c her stats were obviously good enough to get into derm. Go where it is cheaper. Its not like UMDNJ is unheard of or on the other side of the country.
