Do DO schools look at transcript GPA?

Hey guys,

So my AACOMAS cGPA and sGPA are substantially higher than my transcript GPAs. Will schools be looking at my transcript GPA? If they just take my AACOMAS GPA into account, I'm pretty much a shoe-in for most DO schools. However, I feel that my transcript GPA is so low it may look bad. The difference is so substantial because all of my B's are actually B+'s, which wasn't taken into account on my transcript since my school calculated GPA on a four point scale. What do you guys think?

AACOMAS GPA:
cGPA: 3.77
sGPA: 3.50

Transcript GPA:
cGPA: 3.42

Your transcript shows your percentages? I don't understand where this difference is coming from. Your cGPA from your shcool and your cGPA from AACOMAS should be the same unless you attended another university as well.

Not completely sure - but the OP may have attended a school that didn't give out A-, B+, B-, etc... Therefore an 89 in a class would be represented by a "B", and one would receive a "3.0" instead of a 3.3 (for a B+).

I would imagine that your AACOMAS GPA would be viewed more heavily...?

I went to 2 schools without +/- grading system and neither of my transcripts indicated a percentage, but N=1 I guess.

Edit: I understand what you're saying, but the letter grade is king. Percentage doesn't matter once you have the grade ya know?

Yea, not really sure what to make of that. I would also assume letter grade trumps... but wth. Definitely reach out to AACOMAS

We see your transcripts and I personally look at them very carefully. And what counts is how AACOMAS calculates things, not how any school does it.

so basically like the dude said above chuck that in the garbage

OP got accepted so I think that she doesn't have anything to worry about.

ha ok my bad. I'm new to SDN. I have improved my grades allot I repeated 4 courses and made all A's but I feel like it maybe in vain since they do not replace grades and my GPA wouldn't improve. I have a undergrad cumulative of 3.428. my ScGPA is also 3.4. So I don't know i'm confused I was a non-traditional older student. I'm open to suggestions.
