After thinking more about OMM I was wondering how open this field is to DOs. Are they able to match at top programs? Will they accept COMLEX? Will my degree be held against me if everything else on my application is solid?

haha i think i laughed like 6 times after reading this before I was able to actually push reply..

dude, do some research on DO and OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine). OMM is something that is taught only to DOs--Osteopathic students/docs (with the exception of some MD schools that allow students to take it as an elective)...however, only DOs can go into an OMM residency...

The original poster was posting in jest.

OP, kudos! Definitely the best thread on the board. 👍

The OP has 300 posts and is a "medical student" but can't put DO and OMm together.

I think you may have meant 'COMPLEX'. It's OK, it's a common mistake.

 this thread is hilarious. And it wouldn't be complete without the token poster who bit on the sarcasm. Thanks Skippygonuts!
