Hi everyone,

So I am a Canadian applying to USA dental schools. MY AADSAS application was submitted June 28. Some dental schools received their application fee in July (from 2nd all the way to 30th of the month depending on the school) and others are receiving them now (August 23rd). The reasons for the late sending of application fee is because I was tight for money and I had to wait for my paychecks every 2 weeks to pay for the application fee. The other reason is that some of the checks were mailed but got lost and never reached the school so I had to re-mail it (and for Canada to USA --> that's about 1week duration).

I am guessing its too late for many of the schools who received their fee the end of August. Am I correct? ... I have good grades and DAT

My cGPA 3.93 and BCP is 3.99 and my DAT is 24 PA/21QR/21RC/26Bio/24GC/24OC

From what I have read on sdn ... that if your grades are good then you should be okay :S for booking a pre-December interview ... however other people say you still hve a very slim shot for pre-December interview ...

Anyone with a serious reply ... please post it ... and please be honest with your opinion.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for the reply. Very kind of you!

People aren't responding because you have a 3.93/3.99 GPA and very high DAT scores. Why wouldn't you have a chance? It's still not terribly late to be sending your application fees, and with your stats it just seems silly to ask the question (just being honest).

Thank you for the reply. I completely understand where you are coming from ... but these stats are not so hot for Canadian dental schools so that's why i'm not as confident as everyone may think I should be ... and Canadian dental schools don't have rolling admission so I don't really know how the rolling admission functions. But, thanks for your opinion! its always nice to hear good news 🙂

You appear to be uninformed for both the Canadian and US admission stats; the only school where your stats may not be "so hot" is Manitoba, which does not seem to have any difficulty finding 30 students to come up with a mean gpa of 4.02. Any school where the rate of acceptance from the initial offer is less than 100% has rolling admission.

It's cause Manitobas GPA is out of 4.5 not 4. That's why it's 4.02...

It's quite clear these Canuck ds's are not compassionate for even their fellow OOP's.
