So I'm thinking about what to put on EC for AMCAS and was thinking more along the line of hobbies
My hobbies are:
working out-I've been working out for about 5 years. Not a long time but not new and I lost a lot of weight a while ago

cars-I am very much into modifying cars as well as my own. garage mechanic as well as attending car shows/meets on weekends when I have time

PC gaming- I built my own PC a while ago game. I obviously won't talk about gaming but focus it towards PC building as I've built my own as well as friends PCs. Not hard, just time consuming first few times

Basically, what will an adcom member read this? Typical college toolbag?

Adcoms are soft half-male (or even female) prisses that don't understand our needs, brother.

#IronMadeByIron

Well, yeah, but not every applicant needs to have single-handedly saved an entire Ugandan village from an outbreak of Ebola. It's just a job. Plenty of people get in without being the second coming of Hippocrates..

If you can see yourself doing anything else, don't apply (at least during my cycle).

Gotta work on the self-esteem. Your ECs are fine!!!!! Being a car guy, I especially like the second.

The typical college toolbags will not have any ECs, other than studying and taking the MCAT.

And jeeze, so much bitterness in the rest of the thread!

I never really understood the fascination of cars

I don't intend to be bitter, in fact I relate to him. I wasn't exactly riding a unicycle while juggling flaming rhinoceroses and reciting the Baghavad Gita in Sanskrit when I was an undergrad. There's plenty of space for relatively normal people with academic talent and work ethic in medical school, as far as I can tell.

Autoreject for you. Pun intended!

It's a pre-med delusion that all we want are Mother Teresa clones who are also Olympic athletes. We want real human beings.

I like studying though

It's a really expensive hobby for one. Some of my friends have over $20k in their $40k cars

Don't get me wrong, I like studying too. I think that's common though and not worth mentioning on app.
My favorite subject is organic chemistry. with emphasis on multi step synthesis.
I'm basically a nerd to all, if not most, of my 'regular' friends who I've known from my hobbies.

I think your car hobby is interesting and worth putting on the app. Working out seems more of something you just do for you - which is important, but does not seem worth mentioning. Same with video games.

Everything on your application is important and can be scrutinized. I have seen an applicant get clobbered because his "hobbies and interests are all over the place." Keep it simple. Remember every blank box to be filled in on your apps are important. I know it can be overwhelming and you might think that you're all good after all the "important" boxes Ike the personal statement and CV.
