This will be my first time applying an MSOT program and I must admit, I am a little nervous about my GPA. I have an overall GPA of 3.25 and a prerequisite GPA of 3.15. Although it is low, I have a TON of observational hours and have worked with several occupational therapists. I've managed to have worked in an outpatient hand therapy clinic, early childhood clinic, specifically dealing with autism, a psychiatric unit while I was abroad in the UK and in a clinic for the hearing and visually impaired. My real highlight was designing a database to assess routes of travel for disabled individuals as well as presenting a proposal to representatives from Medicare on tele-medicinal advances to prevent fraudulent activities. Despite all that, I know there is a heavy emphasis on GPA for many schools and I'm wondering if my work related activities will help increase my odds of being accepted.
