DO LOR included in committee letter, "expired" science LORs

I've noticed several schools (ex: KCUMB) list on their websites that they require a premedical committee letter AND a DO letter under separate bullet points. Do they require that these letters be sent in separately, or is it okay to include the DO LOR in the committee packet?

I have been out of school for a few years and thus my science LORs are outdated. For schools like KCUMB that require letters written within the last two years, would a current committee letter that includes expired science LORs suffice? Or will I need to get updated science LORs as well? I do have current LORs from my employer and volunteer coordinators.

Not sure if this will answer your question fully, but I was in a similar situation. I have been out of school for 8 years and had no science letters. Fortunately, my undergraduate school (I graduated in 2003!) still wrote me a committee letter even though I didn't even know anyone on the committee and was no longer a current student there. This committee letter seemed to fill the requirements that schools were looking for. I also had letters from several physicians I've worked with (both MD and DO) and my advisor from graduate school.
