Do med school classes use advanced math?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i suppose higher level math is conceptually learned in a different way than we are accostumed to do with the basic math stuff.
Dont have a clue though, i am just speculating.

Higher level math doesn't even use normal operations and numbers are rare if they even show up. You just have weird letters and squiggles all over the place

Truth, it's its own language and like Anatomy can be the steepest learning curve when starting on it.

For instance, look at this ****, and this isn't even that complicated. Gotta speak math though.

I wonder what would be like if i had pursued a career in maths or physics. But those fields pushed into

it is more about the concepts than the language. One line can be more difficult to grasp, than resolving several strings of operators.
Kudus for your knowledge, i envy you.

People in my biostats class freaked out when we were asked to do two digit multiplication without a calculator. I wouldn't worry about eigenvectors.

Did they skip elementary school?

This is med school. You don't need much math. Use a calculator and move on .. Unless you're a complete math nerd 🙂

There is so little math on the MCAT. Even less math in medical school.

If we were good at math, we would be pharmacists.
