Definitely. I know at least some of UC schools do for sure, here is UCLA as an example:

Some do, others don't. To provide a counter-example:

Q: Do family members of CHM, MSU alumni, or MSU faculty receive special consideration when applying to CHM?

A: No. All applicants to CHM are evaluated on their own merit.

That slide suggests that UCLA grads may get a preference, but it could just be that UCLA undergrads with multiple acceptances are more likely to choose UCLA (for any number of reasons)....

I know my undergrad makes up 15% of the med school which is huge when the class size is like 180. My UG is a smaller state school, and the mega schools (osu, uofm) flood students in and easily overpopulate.

I would have thought they would give preference, but I'm a Penn State alumnus and haven't been granted an interview at Hershey (n=1). It happens.
